About Pontiac G6 Gt Coupe 2006 in Questions
Does the 2006 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe have an auxiliary plug? I recently (today) purchased a 2006 G6 GT Coupe. Last night I purchased an Ipod Nano along with an auxiliary transmitter at the recommendation of the Apple store employee. Upon picking the vehicle up today, I am unable to locate the plug in my car to hook it up. The manual makes no mention of an auxiliary, does the vehicle have one?

mikey replied: "Don't know what that is."

travis b replied: "No it doesn't you can buy an 08 radio and have that programmed then it will have an aux plug. check out for lots more info on your car."

mr.inquisitive replied: "you can buy a double or triple adapter that will plug into the cigarette lighter .that should give you what you need"

I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe, I have the upgraded monsoon system, what are the speaker sizes? I have the coupe with the tweeter, mid and sub in the front doors and im guessing 6x9's in the rear, what are the sizes for all of my front speakers? Thanks

Chino replied: "Front speakers Front Door: 6-3/4" Rear speakers Rear Deck: 6x9""

Trading in a 06 Pontiac G6 Coupe? I'm looking to trade in my 2006 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe. It have 27,000 KM. Full load except leather or heated seats. I owe about 27,000 (CAD) on the car. The car is worth (roughly) 15-18,000 on a trade. My real question.. What price can I look at for a different vehicle so that I dont have to carry over any extra money on to a new loan? If that doesn't make sense I dont know how to word it then.. but hopefully it does. I mean.. how much car can I afford so that I DON'T have any money owing on my OLD loan...

xMACDADDYx replied: "call suze ormen. she'll tell u. but my guess is 18000"

lostin90s replied: "The other car will have to be more$$ than what you owe big Time. You will have to check with dealers in you area and see. But in my area the balance is your puppy . 1. Keep the car (its good for another 100000 miles) and have same payments 2. sell out right and get a older /cheaper used one and pay off difference. You will be paying cost of new car plus what ever is left on old ."

Do you own a Pontiac G6 GT or GTP? I am looking at buying a used (2006 or newer) Pontiac G6 GT or GTP in the Coupe. I am just looking for all the G6 owners out there to give me their input on how they like/dislike their G6's. I like it, from what I've seen, but I'd like some more detailed input from people who drive them everyday. Again, this is the G6 GT or GTP Coupe drivers. The more details, the better! Thanks all.

Drekka M replied: "G6 is a great buy for your money. I love the handling and I think that it is really quite a step up from the old Grand Am. Downside: guzzles gas like there's no tomorrow, and standards are near impossible to find new. Despite this, hoever, you'll find that once you've bought your G6, you won't want to get rid of it that easy! I have an '06 and knock on wood, I haven't had a problem with it (aside from speeding tickets....you don't realize how fast you're going!)"

joes455302 replied: "I've owned an older GTP....and I've driven a newer GTP a few times. I loved my 01 before I sold it and it was good reliable vehicle with the 3.8SC engine. One thing I've heard often about the G6 is about it's driveability issue. Apparently the factory engine computer tuning is pretty awful and the car always seems to upshift or downshift exactly when you don't want it to. If you enjoy the way the one you test drove drives though I haven't heard anything else bad about them. If your going to want more power with engine mods the GTP is definitely the way to go though. Lots of easy cheap horsepower and torque gains to be had with that motor."

la replied: "i own a g6 gt, its pretty to look at, mine came with receding rooftop, nice rims, it was fully loaded when we bought it used. it was only 1 year old. i really like it. i hate minivans so i sit my two kids in the back, not to roamy with carseats, kids are tooooo close to eachother. does very good on gas. it handle the curves really great, rides smooth on smooth sstreets. you can feel the bumps on the road alot when its not smooth.the receding rooftop, got to be careful when washing can leak water in(had mine fixed 1nce already). my husband likes it too. if you have kids protect seats, have a few stains trying to get rid of. but all g6 gt's look awsome, guys will look at the car and stare. i think it did poor as a family car on rating of safety. but i found that out later."

EnGe replied: "That will be my next car, if you get one let me know if you recommend it :)"

dodge charger vs. Pontiac g6? hey i got a quick question, which one is faster? 2006 dodge charger SXT with 250HP and weighs 1700KG or a 2006 pontiac g6 gt coupe with 200HP and weighs 1500KG

C7S replied: "The Pontiac G6 is much faster. Charger: 0-60mph(0-98km/h) in 8.0 seconds. Top Speed is 130mph. G6 GT 0-60mph(0-98km/h) in 7.0 seconds. Top Speed is 140mph. Plus the G6 handles much better."

Kent H replied: "The G6 is faster from 0-60 7.9 sec < 8.5 sec for charger"

Janet replied: "Mustang V6 Just an idea..."

ssracing replied: "just rule out any gutless imports then rule out the 6s and 4s then look at what has a hemi and what doesnt"

Jeff the drummer replied: "Narrow it down to 2 or 3 and ask again. With a list that long, you won't be buying a car ANYTIME soon."

icecubez189 replied: "yeah, that list is seriously way too long. you have to narrow it down to at least 5 car models you definately want and can afford. Don't just factor in a lot of power and good handling, you might want some luxury ammenities, good fuel economy, reliability, passenger seating, etc. A few on that list I would consider is the Infiniti G series, Maxima or Altima (check out the Altima Coupe), 300C, Camry, Legacy (or Impreza or WRX), Fusion, or MKZ."
